YOUR INFORMATION, EXPLAINED

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated November 4, 2026.

At a glance

TIANLICHUJU publishes the interior design journal at tianlichuju.com. This release uses local browser storage for optional saved articles and does not load advertising or analytics tags. We plan to introduce Google AdSense and Google Ad Exchange (AdX), potentially through Google Ad Manager or an authorised publishing partner. The advertising sections below explain the intended processing when those services are enabled; they do not say that advertising is already running.

Your privacy choices · How Google uses information from partner sites · Privacy contact

1. Scope and how to reach us

This Privacy Policy explains information handling associated with the TIANLICHUJU website, its reading tools and communications sent to the journal. TIANLICHUJU is the publishing brand and contact point for this website. Contact us at neilazied09@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request.” The same address handles questions about this notice and requests concerning information within our control.

This notice covers our own website activities. Hosting, email, advertising and other service providers may have their own responsibilities and privacy notices. It does not replace their notices, and visiting an external photographer, source or advertiser takes you to a service that we do not operate. A private preview can also involve the preview provider’s authentication and security systems, separately from the public journal.

We do not currently offer reader accounts, purchases, public comments, a newsletter subscription service or a server-side contact submission system. If these features are introduced, we will explain their additional information handling before using them. Reading a privacy notice, continuing to browse or opening an article is not treated by this website as consent to optional personalised advertising.

2. Categories and sources of information

Information you choose to send

If you email us, we receive the sender address, your message, any name you provide and other information you include. An email may also contain ordinary transmission details supplied by the mail service. Editorial questions, image-rights enquiries and privacy requests can include a page address or information needed to investigate the issue. We ask you to provide only what is relevant and to avoid sending passwords, payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal records in an initial message.

The contact page provides a direct email address. It has no online message board or website submission form. We receive a message only when you send it through your own email service. Your provider handles transmission under its own terms, and the resulting message arrives in our mailbox.

Connection and service information

Delivering a web page necessarily involves connection information, including an IP address. Hosting and security services may process requested URLs, timestamps, browser and device information, referrer information, delivery errors and security events for operating and protecting the service. These records can identify a device or connection and should not automatically be considered anonymous. We do not promise that a hosting provider keeps no access logs.

Local reading preferences

The bookmark feature stores the identifiers of articles you save in your browser. It does not create a reader account or send a saved-reading profile to a journal endpoint. Search and the room-area worksheet run locally against site data or the measurements entered. We have not installed analytics code to report those search terms, worksheet values or bookmark contents. Fonts and editorial images are served from the website’s own assets.

Information associated with future advertisements

When advertising is enabled, Google and other disclosed advertising participants may receive information about an ad request, such as the page context, IP address, device or browser characteristics, approximate location inferred from connection information, cookie or other pseudonymous identifiers, consent signals, impressions and interactions. The exact categories depend on the product, participating vendors, region and choices in effect. Pseudonymous identifiers may still be personal information under applicable law. We do not ask visitors for precise GPS location to read the journal.

3. Why information is used

Information is used to deliver pages, keep the site functioning, investigate faults and abuse, answer messages, resolve corrections or rights concerns, and process privacy requests. Optional browser storage supports a feature you choose to use: retaining a personal reading list on that browser. If advertising is introduced, additional purposes can include selecting and delivering ads, measuring delivery, limiting repeated ads, detecting invalid traffic, accounting and, where permitted and chosen, personalising advertising.

Where a law requires a legal basis, the relevant basis depends on the purpose. Consent is used where required for optional advertising technologies and personalisation. Legitimate interests may support proportionate site security, administration and handling ordinary enquiries, subject to applicable balancing requirements. Processing may also be necessary to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. A contract-related basis is relevant only where a genuine contractual interaction makes the processing necessary; browsing an article does not create a reason to use all available data.

Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing under valid consent unlawful, and it does not necessarily require deletion of records retained for a different valid purpose. We do not use the room worksheet or ordinary correspondence to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance or another similarly significant matter. Future ad selection may involve automated audience or contextual decisions, as explained in the relevant providers’ notices.

4. Cookies, pixels and browser storage

A cookie is a small record associated with a website and browser. Local storage is a separate browser facility that can retain preferences. Web beacons, tracking pixels and similar technologies can indicate that content was requested or displayed. Cookies are not the only way information can be processed: an advertising request can transmit connection information even if a browser blocks a particular cookie.

Consent preference recordsNo advertising CMP is deployed in this release.A future CMP may retain choices and evidence of consent for the period described in its live message and policy.

You can remove the reading list from Saved stories or clear this site’s data in your browser. Browser settings can also block or remove cookies. Clearing data can remove remembered preferences and may cause a future consent message to appear again. Private browsing does not guarantee that no connection or advertising information is processed.

We do not currently use third-party analytics cookies. We will not describe a future analytics service as active until it is actually introduced and its purposes, providers and controls are disclosed.

5. Planned Google AdSense and Google AdX advertising

We intend to fund the journal with advertising supplied through Google AdSense and Google Ad Exchange, also called AdX. AdX arrangements may involve Google Ad Manager and a disclosed publishing or monetisation partner. Google is an advertising provider, not the owner or editorial author of this journal. No AdSense publisher identifier, Ad Manager ad tag or AdX partner script has been installed in the current release.

Once enabled, third-party advertising vendors, including Google, may use cookies to choose ads based on visits to this website and other websites. Advertising identifiers can allow Google and participating partners to recognise relevant activity across sites and deliver personalised advertising where that use is permitted. Other disclosed ad networks and technology providers may also set or read cookies, use pixels or process IP addresses and other identifiers in connection with ad delivery and measurement.

Ad exchanges can involve multiple participants, including buyers, ad networks, measurement services and fraud-prevention providers. The participating entities must be identified in the live vendor disclosures and consent interface as applicable; a general reference to “partners” is not intended to replace those specific disclosures. We have not named an unselected AdX reseller or invented a vendor list. Before advertising is activated, the actual selected providers and their privacy information must be made available to visitors.

Google and a publisher can have separate data-controller responsibilities for relevant advertising activities; Google should not simply be assumed to be our processor for every purpose. Read Google’s explanation of information received through partner websites, the Google Privacy Policy and Google’s business data responsibility resources for its practices and controls.

Contextual or non-personalised advertising is not necessarily free of information processing or cookies. It may still involve functions such as delivery measurement, frequency management and invalid-traffic protection. The availability of personalised, non-personalised, limited ads or no ads depends on the implementation, the applicable region and valid choices. This notice does not promise that selecting one option will eliminate every technical connection to an advertising service.

6. Consent, withdrawal and advertising controls

Where prior consent is required, optional advertising storage and processing must not be activated on the assumption that silence means agreement. When applicable, a properly configured consent-management platform will explain the purposes and vendors, offer relevant choices and retain the necessary consent record. For personalised Google ads to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google requires a certified CMP integrated with the relevant IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. A privacy-policy page or a decorative cookie notice alone does not perform that function.

Our Privacy and cookie settings page is the persistent entry point for available controls. It currently explains that advertising is not enabled and provides control over the local reading list. When a live Google consent message is integrated, an available Google consent-revocation control can reopen the applicable message. If a different CMP is selected, that entry point must be connected to that provider’s working preference controls. We do not show a success message claiming to change ad consent when no advertising CMP is present.

You can also review Google’s advertising controls in My Ad Center and its advertising settings for websites and apps. Some participating third-party providers offer choices through Digital Advertising Alliance choices or Network Advertising Initiative choices. These external tools have their own coverage and limitations; they do not automatically control every provider, device or browser.

Choices can be browser-, device-, account- or service-specific. Clearing cookies, changing browsers or using another device may require a new choice. You may still see advertising after opting out of personalisation. A request about information held in our mailbox can be made by email; changing a Google account setting does not itself delete a message you sent to us.

7. Who may receive information

Recipients can include hosting and security providers supporting delivery; email providers handling correspondence; advisers or authorities when a lawful obligation, dispute or protection of rights makes disclosure necessary; and, after activation and subject to applicable choices, Google and the actual disclosed advertising participants. Access should be limited to the purpose involved. We do not provide a public directory of reader emails or publish private correspondence as a routine journal feature.

We do not currently sell a reader mailing list or exchange reader account data, and the present release does not activate cross-context advertising tags. Future advertising disclosures can fall within a broad legal definition of a “sale,” “sharing” or targeted advertising even where no one pays directly for a particular person’s information. For that reason, we do not make an unconditional promise that all future advertising activity will fall outside those definitions. Relevant opt-outs and processing restrictions must be applied when such activities and laws apply.

Messages sent to the journal are not intentionally inserted into ad-request URLs or used as a source of advertising targeting identifiers. Do not include personal information in a publicly shared page URL. We do not ask for sensitive characteristics to choose interior design content or advertising.

8. Retention and deletion criteria

Different information has different retention needs. A saved reading list stays under your browser’s control until removed. Correspondence is retained while an enquiry, correction, rights issue or privacy request is being handled, and for follow-up, accountability or legal needs where justified. Relevant information should then be reviewed for deletion or minimisation rather than kept merely because storage is available.

Security and infrastructure records depend on the provider’s configuration, the need to investigate events and applicable requirements. Future advertising and consent records depend on the actual services, purposes and stated provider schedules. We have not invented a single retention period that applies to all of these systems. Contact us for information about a particular record within our control; provider-specific records may require a request to that provider.

Deletion can be subject to lawful exceptions, including dispute records or records needed to demonstrate compliance. Residual copies in backups may remain until the relevant backup cycle replaces them and should not be restored for unrelated ordinary use. Removing a browser preference does not necessarily remove earlier ad-provider records, and deleting an email from our working mailbox cannot guarantee deletion from the sender’s independent account.

9. International data processing

The website can be visited from different countries, and hosting, email and future advertising providers can operate infrastructure in several jurisdictions. Information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. The existence of an international website does not mean that we promise exclusive storage in any particular country.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a mechanism for an international transfer, the responsible parties must use an appropriate mechanism and safeguards for the actual transfer. This can involve an applicable adequacy arrangement or approved contractual protections, depending on the parties and circumstances. We do not claim a particular certification or transfer agreement has been adopted by TIANLICHUJU when it has not been verified. Ask the privacy contact about the provider or transfer relevant to your enquiry, and consult the provider’s own notice for its responsibilities.

10. Requests and individual rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be entitled to request access to information, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of relevant processing. You may also have a right to object to particular processing, withdraw consent, opt out of targeted advertising or certain sale or sharing, and complain to an appropriate regulator. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions of the applicable law.

Write to neilazied09@gmail.com and describe the action requested. Give enough context to locate the information, such as the email address used to contact us, an approximate date or a relevant page. We may need proportionate identity or authority verification for some access or deletion requests, especially to avoid disclosing another person’s records. Do not send an identity document with an initial enquiry. An authorised representative may be asked for appropriate evidence of authority where required.

We will handle requests within the period applicable to them, explain any permitted extension or refusal where required, and avoid requesting unnecessary additional information. An opt-out request should not be made conditional on creating an account or providing more identifying information than the relevant law allows. If we cannot identify a local-only bookmark list, you can manage it directly in the browser without sending us the list.

11. Additional regional information

EEA, UK and Switzerland

Where the relevant data-protection framework applies, the legal-basis and rights information above is intended to explain the processing in understandable terms. Consent to optional advertising can be withdrawn through the applicable preference interface without affecting the lawfulness of earlier valid processing. You may contact an appropriate supervisory authority if you believe your rights have not been respected. A future consent message must identify its actual purposes and recipients rather than relying on this notice as blanket consent.

United States state privacy rights

Where a state privacy law applies to the visitor and the relevant business activity, rights may include access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, an opt-out of targeted advertising or sale or sharing, and an appeal of a request decision. California rights can also include limits on certain uses of sensitive personal information and protection against discriminatory treatment for exercising rights. The applicable rules depend on statutory scope and conditions; this policy does not claim that every state law applies identically to every visit.

Global Privacy Control and other recognised opt-out preference signals can communicate an opt-out for a browser or device where the applicable law requires recognition. The current release has no advertising tags to deactivate. Before advertising begins, the chosen implementation must be configured and tested to honour applicable signals and opt-outs; we do not assert that an uninstalled ad stack already processes them. The older Do Not Track browser setting does not by itself have a uniform meaning across all online services.

To request a relevant opt-out or to appeal a privacy decision, use the privacy contact and state the request. Our privacy choices page provides an accessible route labelled “Do not sell or share my personal information” for the current site and future applicable controls. Emailing us is not a substitute for the automated consent or opt-out controls that a live advertising implementation must provide where required.

12. Children and sensitive information

The journal is general interior design content and is not directed to children. We do not offer a child account system or ask children to submit personal profiles. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through our contact channels. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, tell us enough to investigate and take appropriate action. Different jurisdictions can set additional requirements for children and teenagers, which must be considered before introducing features or advertising directed to them.

Do not send health records, financial account information, government identifiers or other sensitive information in a design enquiry. A photograph of a home can also reveal private details; share only what is necessary and what you have permission to disclose. We do not need private home photographs or an exact home address to respond to an ordinary editorial correction.

13. Security, links and limitations

We seek to minimise the information requested and use reasonable measures appropriate to the service and the information involved. No internet transmission, email account or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you suspect a security issue, contact us with a concise description and the affected page; do not send passwords, exploit another person’s account or include sensitive records as a demonstration.

Source links, photography credits and future advertisements can lead to third-party sites. Their collection practices are governed by their own notices. An external privacy-control link can be useful without placing every external service under TIANLICHUJU’s control. Review the destination and its practices before supplying personal information.

14. Policy updates and further information

We will revise this notice when relevant practices change, including when advertising providers, consent tools or new reader features are introduced. The date at the top identifies the latest policy revision. A material change may also require additional notice or renewed consent under the applicable rules; simply changing the policy text is not a substitute for that step.
