A home should feel like you.
Thoughtful interiors, explained for real life.
A home is not simply a style you choose. It is the setting for the things you do, the people you welcome and the small rituals that make an ordinary day your own. TIANLICHUJU is an independent interior design journal built around that relationship.
A clear point of view
We believe attractive rooms deserve practical explanations. A beautiful image can start a conversation, but a useful article should help you understand a choice: why a layout works, who might enjoy a particular atmosphere, which material needs more care, and when a different solution would be more sensible. Our aim is to make those decisions easier to discuss and test.
Our visual world is warm and contemporary, with a fondness for pink, quiet contrast and considered detail. Our editorial interests are wider than one palette. We explore restrained rooms, richly layered interiors, familiar materials and creative interventions, always asking how a proposal would feel in daily use.
Who the journal is for
TIANLICHUJU is for readers making a home thoughtfully: people furnishing a first apartment, adapting a rented room, comparing design directions, improving a difficult corner or reconsidering a familiar space. You do not need to be planning a complete renovation to find a useful idea here. A better reading position or a more accessible storage arrangement can be a worthwhile project.
We avoid assuming that every reader owns a large property, wants a fashionable purchase or has the same comfort requirements. Different budgets, routines, mobility needs and preferences lead to different good decisions. A guide should explain that range rather than present a single ideal household.
What you will find
- Living spaces: seating, shared activities, quiet corners and useful circulation.
- Bedrooms: a considered relationship between rest, storage, light and daily preparation.
- Kitchens and dining: layouts, material choices and the details that support preparing, serving and sharing food.
- Small homes: proportion, flexible uses and realistic boundaries between activities.
- Materials and details: texture, colour, care, repair and the questions to ask before specifying a product.
The journal’s first collection contains 159 long-form guides. Their value should come from the decisions they clarify, not from their number or length. The room planning kit offers a simple area comparison and a printable checklist to help turn an idea into a measured conversation.
How we approach a story
We begin with a defined design question. The article then considers the people using the room, the relevant constraints, the compromises between alternatives and a practical way to test the idea. We favour explanations of the reasoning over shopping lists that depend on a particular retailer. Technical requirements remain specific to the product, building and jurisdiction; general inspiration is not a construction specification.
Articles are created with AI assistance. TIANLICHUJU Editorial is the journal’s publishing identity. It is not a representation that a named licensed designer inspected the pictured home, that a product was independently tested, or that a proposal was built for a client. We do not invent completed commissions, professional qualifications, awards, testimonials or years of practice to make a story sound authoritative.
Real photographs, clearly credited
The journal uses sourced interior photography as a visual reference. Each article has a distinct primary image with a recorded source, photographer and licence. Article cards reuse that photograph so you can recognise the same story across the website. Images may show private interiors, showrooms, hospitality spaces or historic rooms; their source descriptions should remain visible rather than be rewritten as an invented TIANLICHUJU project.
A photograph can suggest proportion, atmosphere or a material relationship, but it does not prove the photographed property follows every proposal in a guide. We separate independent design analysis from documented facts about the source image. Any domestic scene used to illustrate a routine is fictional and labelled accordingly. See the photography credits for individual records.
Advertising and editorial independence
We plan to support the journal through Google AdSense and Google Ad Exchange advertising. The current release has not activated those services. Advertising, when introduced, must be distinguishable from editorial content and navigation. The presence of an advertisement should not be interpreted as a personal recommendation, a tested product claim or a guarantee about the advertiser.
Sponsored material and affiliate relationships, if introduced, will need a clear disclosure where they affect content. We do not ask readers to click advertisements to support us. The Privacy Policy explains planned advertising information handling, and Privacy and cookie settings is the route to available choices.
A journal that can be corrected
Useful publishing includes being open to correction. If a detail is inaccurate, an explanation is unclear or an image credit needs attention, contact us with the page address and the specific concern. A relevant source or a clear description helps us assess the issue. Rights holders can use the same direct channel for photography questions.
